TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

Friday, January 20: (Show Hours 2 pm to 10 pm) 


5:00 - 6:00 PM:: (Room 1) DOUG WOLFGANG - Hall of Fame World of Outlaws Sprint Car driver and car builder Doug Wolfgang will answer your questions on driving techniques, Sprint Car chassis set-up and general racing topics.

6:15 -7:15 PM: (Room 2)  “Legal Issues in Racing, and with the Racing Business” - Presented by attorney Meri Van Blarcom-Gupko of Wiley, Malehorn, Sirota and Raynes legal firm. A practicing lawyer with an auto racing background, she will answer racing-related legal questions that you may have, such as sponsor liability, insurance and what
responsibilities you need to be aware of as a racer and/or track operator. Open to racers and promoters/track managers.
(Note: questions will be answered at no charge during the presentation).

6:30 - 7:30 PM: (Room 1 )  “THE BASICS OF RACING” - Set-up, tire choice and general maintenance on Street Stock/Pure Stock/Factory Stock division cars. Presented by Roy Anderson of Anderson Race Cars.

12:00 - 1:00 PM: (Room 1) “The Basics of Race Team Sponsorship” - Presented by race team Media Relations
consultant and motorsports journalist John Snyder

12:00 - 1 PM: (Room 2) RACE SAVER 305 SPRINT CARS - Region Director Joe Grandinetti outlines the basics of the TSRS series which will compete at New Jersey’s Bridgeport and New Egypt Speedways in 2012.

1:15 - 2:00 PM: (Room 1) MAKIN’ POWER! - presented by VP Racing Fuels Tech Director Fred Turza.

1:15 - 2:00 PM: (Room 2) TAKING PHOTOS AT THE TRACK - Geared toward the “amateur” or the person looking to enter the business, this seminar provides “the basics” of racing photography. One attendee will get a chance to take photos at the Ms. Motorsports competition, with the professionals! Hosted by award winning racing photographer Bob Yurko.

2:15 - 3:15 PM: (Room 1)  “Dirt Late Model Set-ups and Chassis Tuning” -- presented by Jim Bernheisel of Bernheisel Race Components/Lazer Chassis

2:15 - 3:15 PM: (Room 2) MODERN MOTOR RACING OIL UPDATE - Lake Speed Jr. of Joe Gibbs Racing Oil will discuss changes in today’s racing oils, their performance and proper use.

3:30 - 4:30 PM: (Room 1) “RACE CAR BRAKING” - Wilwood Engineering’s Carl Bush will present the complete racer seminar on brake systems. Everything you need to know, with all questions answered by a true expert.

3:30 - 5:00 PM: (Room 2) Ms. Motorsports Interviews (closed to public)

4:45 - 5:30 PM: (Room 1) “Safer Racer Tour” presented by Randy LaJoie of LaJoie Seating. He will cover racing safety in all divisions.

5:15 - 6:15 PM: (Show Press Room) Race Track/Tour & Series Public Relations/Media Workshop -- Open discussion between racing writers/photographers and track/series Promoters/Managers and Press Directors as to professionalism, credential usage and pre and post-event coverage. A featured topic will be “Today’s Racing Social Media”, with emphasis on how tracks/organizations are using Facebook, Twitter and related “social media” in publicizing their events. Hosted by Lincoln, Pa., Speedway media staff members Wayne Harper (press director) and Bill Meyer (webmaster).

5:45 - 6:45: (Room 1) RACE TIRE USE FROM A-Z - Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic reps will discuss race tires from point of purchase to end usage followed up by an open forum Q&A with reps.

6:30 - 7:30: (Room 2) TBA

7:00 - 9:00 PM: (Room 1) Quarter-Midgets of America (QMA) Region II Meeting


Sunday January 22: (Show Hours 11 am to 4 pm)


12:30 - 1:30 PM: (Room 1) 
“Introduction to Quarter-Midget Racing” presented by Stephen Boyd of Quarter-Midgets USA. For families preparing to “go racing” in the Quarter-Midgets, this seminar will cover everything the family and their young race driver needs to know about technical and racing rules/on-track procedure and what to expect when they get to the track for the first time. Bring your questions, and Stephen will answer them!
